Your work/life balance
The Council area is easily accessible by train or bus. Bankstown Centro shopping centre is close as is great food. Bankstown is approximately 30 minutes by car or train from Sydney CBD.

Join the library for free, even if you are not a resident of the Bankstown area. Libraries are in Bankstown, Chester Hill, Padstow, Panania and Greenacre.
Language Aides Allowance
If you speak a language other than English you can gain approval and recognised qualifications to assist with interpretation needs of the Council. Once qualified you can claim an allowance.
Joint Consultative Commitee
We have a Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) that includes employees and management. It ensures we are working together toward a common goal, providing more effective services, a more efficient operation, and greater satisfaction for employees.
